Sunday, April 10, 2016 - Medium intensity, ruby color.
Right off the bat cool red fruit, meat juice, garrigue spice, dusty soil, white pepper, dried violets and a slightly funky/animalistic note.
Decent structure and intensity with quite juicy fruit on the palate. Raspberry, tart blackberry and strawberry along with some floral and savory notes. It ends bone dry in a medium finish.
A great entry level wine from a region that leaves me disappointed way too often. Should develop nicely over the next 5 years.
