Monday, April 11, 2016 - The bottle condition was excellent, the cork although in one piece was very fragile. In the glass the wine was mid yellow with the slightest of green tinge. - fantastic appearance. The nose was muted on opening with slight evidence of petrol. On the palate there was a slight effervescence and a touch of sweetness, probably sitting between spaetlese and kabinett on my own chart. There were hints of tropical fruit and it paired well with marmalade cake and fresh fruit. I don't see the score improving, its 45 years old and still holding on well. 6 more bottles to go...
