Monday, April 25, 2016 - Opaque purple. The nose was rather tightly coiled but with time in the glass gave notes of creosote, brambly fruit , tobacco, smoke and game. Dark fruited palate with a full body, robust tannins and solid underlying structure. Very enjoyable now although still a baby. I expect this will merit a few more points with another 5 to 10 years of bottle age.
