Thursday, April 28, 2016 - Matching power and ripeness with finesse, this opaque ruby, full-bodied Cabernet delivers a payload of dark bramble fruits, currants, espresso and pickling spice. Although this wine is lavishly oaked, the fruit remains front-and-center, supported by low-to-medium acidity, seamless alcohol (14.5%) and generous sweet tannins. Rich and layered on the mid-palate, it finishes with excellent persistence. Many may question the merits of this ultra-chic winery, but this is one of their bottlings that is deserving of attention. Drink now-2026.
