Tuesday, June 14, 2016 - Blind White Tasting: Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes Ruchottes (The Blanchard - Chicago IL): Served blind in 04/06 Ruchottes flight. Less forthcoming aromas to start, but this really picked up charm with more time in glass, with ripe stone fruit emerging that was nicely balanced. Less ripe flavors with excellent overall balance, this was a rare 2006 that showed better than its 2004 vintage counterpart. This was also better tonight than the Ramonet 2006 Ruchottes in the flight.
