Wednesday, January 2, 2008 - This wine is great and acutally tasted more closed than the last time I had it about 4 years ago. It has a dark black/purple color. The nose is somewhat coiled at first but with swirling is full of dark fruit, coffee, tar, leather, spice and bacon. The palate is large-scaled and to me is where the La' La's show their stuff. The concentration and density in the palate are something to behold. The finish is long, balanced and tannic. This wine is still years from peak and could approach a perfect score with more bottle age.
