Sunday, June 19, 2016 - 89-90: Definitely showing it's age, brick red core to a brick brownish rim, cedar, dried herbs, tar, and mushroom. Not much in the way of fruit left here, rather this is showing nice mature Rhone character. A very prominent menthol note developed and stayed toward the end of the bottle, a little light, as wine stays translucent throughout, tannins have good grip and are slightly gritty. Overall nice mature CdP.
