Wednesday, June 22, 2016 - So I was on a mission to buy some inexpensive wines for daily drinking in the summer. Picked this up for about 8 bucks. I was hesitant at first thinking it would be just plonk but wanted to give it a shot. Basically it had the lowest alcohol of the other CDRs I was considering. They were mostly running at 15 and I don't want a "shot" with my dinner. This was aromatically nice - some fruit, spice, hints of leather. Not bad. On taste nice cohesive rhone flavours in balance with the acid. A good finish that lasts about 20 seconds or more. Really an enjoyable wine regardless of the price and its almost commodity presence in most shops. I would not hesitate to drink this. Much better than most stuff you find at this price point.
