Saturday, July 30, 2016 - Purchased in a small boutique wine retailer in Les Halles de Lyons who kept wines in a temperature controlled cellar. On the nose it is exhibiting the sweet raisiny kirsch aromas of a typical CdP in the back end of its life. Colour is brick red turning to orange. The palate is holding together somewhat although the wine has plenty of heat and the fruit is in decline. A good example of CdP however it's best years seem behind it. Enjoyable nonetheless but drink up soon.
