Sunday, August 14, 2016 - First tasted a bottle at room temperature that had been open for at least 24 hours and the wine was showing a powerful herbaceous quality that was reminiscent of either tomato leaf or dill. This is definitely lighter than the Py as well.
Next tasted chilled at around 52 degrees on a hot day, and the dill character was not as prominent, instead seeming more like the traditional peppery character I find in most Foillard. Like the '13 Py, this is much more reserved than the '14s. True to the vintage for sure and really very delicious.
