More in the style of a southern France mourvedre rather than a lean northern Rhone Syrah. Dry, medium bodied, dense structure and medium tannins. Good intensity and a good, long finish. This is plenty of wine for the bucks, but not really the style I want from northern Rhone as I think it lacks the spices and refreshing acidity that I one can find in this style of Syrah.
