90 Points

Tuesday, November 8, 2016 - Decanted 2 hours before getting started. This is my first vineyard designate bottle I've opened from Bedrock as I just started buying from them last year. At first I was getting too much alcohol coming through (something I've found common in zinfandel based wines, but not something I enjoy). After a while that got better. Like others have said, flavors of raspberry and spice, and I definitely got a green note in there as well. All in all it was a nice wine, and I'm hoping that more age helps it integrate a little better. From this tasting, I would not consider this great QPR, but I know it is still very young and I need to give it more time before passing too much judgement.

11/11/2016 2:45:00 PM - I have been enjoying Bedrock wines for the last two years. Most of the heritage wines definitely need two to five years sometime to come together. I recommend putting the 2014's away until at least mid 2018 to identify how they will begin to evolve. They have a great thing going on at Bedrock! Don't give up on them just yet.
