Wednesday, November 23, 2016 - Dark Ruby in color. Nose of Mocha/Vanilla with some underlying plum and violet to go along with blue/black fruits. The Mocha/Vanilla aspect was just a touch more than I like, but overall it was very enticing to smell. Definitely a full bodied wine, but not over-the-top or 'plush' by any means. Strikes a pretty good balance with the plum and blue fruit really showcasing on the palate. Oak spice on the finish with somewhat drying tannins giving this a little bit of a bite. Really solid Bordeaux blend. I would venture a guess of another 4-6 years of really drinking well.
