Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, December 6, 2016 - Lovely, delicate and feminine in appearance and on the nose that is expressive in its notes of strawberry, freshly cut roses, and blueberry. Sprightly and succulent on the palate, this effort is surprising and serious for an AVA level wine. Much of the seriousness is lost on the finish which lacked in tannin and let some serious sugar in, lasting for quite some time. Up until the finish, this may have been the finest appellation level California Pinot that I have had. Anxious to see if the frontal sugar attack mellows with the fruit or remains.
