Thursday, November 3, 2016 - Blind tasting of wines from Northern Rhône. The nose shows notes of morello cherries, cherry stones, plums, graphite, olive tapenade, leather, wood and roasted meat. Medium-bodied, noticeable, fine-grained tannins and medium-strong acid. Flavors of cherries, pepper, red berries, olives and licorice on the palate, ending with a long-lasting finish. Although already approachable, I’d give it more time in the bottle. 91+
Blindverkostung Nördliche Rhône. In Nase Aromen von Schattenmorellen, Kirschkernen, Zwetschgen, Graphit, Oliventapenade, Leder, Holz sowie Noten von geröstetem Fleisch. Im Mund eine mittelkräftige Säure, mit präsenten, feinkörnigen Tanninen und einem mittleren Körper. Noten von Kirsche, Pfeffer, roten Beeren, Oliven und Lakritz dann am Gaumen, mit einem langen Nachhall. Bereits gut trinkbar, zeigt sich allerdings auch noch jung. 91+
