Thursday, November 3, 2016 - Blind tasting of wines from Northern Rhône. Aromas of black cherries, leather, licorice, graphite, blackcurrants, black olives and a little roasted meat on the nose. The palate echoes the impression on the nose, with cherries, leather, minerality and licorice, paired with flavors of red fruits. Full-bodied, medium-plus, ripe tannins with fresh acidity and well-integrated alcohol. A more modern style and already approachable.

Blindverkostung Nördliche Rhône. Schwarzkirsche, Leder, Lakritz, Graphit, etwas gebratenes Fleisch, Cassis und schwarze Oliven entdecke ich in der Nase. Am Gaumen wiederholt sich dieser Eindruck größtenteils: Kirsche, Leder, Mineralik und Lakritz, gepaart mit Aromen von roten Früchten. Körperreich, mittlere+, reife Tannine, frischere Säure und gut eingebundener Alkohol. Wirkt modern und zugänglicher.
