Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - Solid Santenay that sits more on the firm and fruit driven side of things. Robust cherry and redcurrant nose, almost Nebbiolo at times but without the floral and funkier side of things. While the fruit is firm, there is actually a more delicate and mineral side to this, like granite or quartz. Tannins are rather soft and acidity is lively if not bright. Lacks a sense of character in the finish, but quite nice.
