Thursday, February 2, 2017 - Just shared two bottles of 2005 Domaine LaFage Cote Sud with friends and even though all reviews say this wine is over the hill, our recent tasting would say different. This wine shows silky, but prominent tannins, is fruit forward, color is still deep purple. It has a fruity nose with a medium long finish. I do believe that the man made cork has helped the longevity of this wine. I would give this wine an 88-90 rating. Great with stinky cheeses. It was a nice surprise.
