Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - 1970s Bordeaux tasting (Wine Watch, Fort Lauderdale, Florida): Fill was into the neck, so this was a great specimen. Surprisingly, this was an excellent wine. Ruby red color. A very floral nose, with cassis, fresh violets, pencil lead, cedar, mint, and lavender. To some, this may be perhaps a bit rustic and austere, but I found it quite charming. Nice long finish, with good levels of acidity and round tannins.
