Wednesday, November 16, 2016 - Blindverkostung mit Freunden. #11 Birne par excellence in der Nase, gepaart mit weißem Pfirsich, weißer Johannisbeere, Ananas, noch grüner Papaya, Banane und floralen Noten. Im Mund eine mittelkräftige+ Säure, körperreich und mit kräftigen aber halbwegs gut eingebundenen 15 Vol.-%. Ein mächtiger Wein mit viel Extrakt. Banane, Papaya, Ananas, Sternfrucht, Würze und Holz. Langer Abgang. Viel zu jung und primärfruchtig. Es fehlt etwas an Trinkfluss und zudem noch an innerer Spannung. Man selbst darf aber gespannt sein. 92+
Blind tasting with friends. #11 Remarkable nose with a lot of white fruit like pears, white peaches, white currant, accompanied by notes of pineapples, greenish papaya, bananas and more floral impressions. The palate is full-bodied, with medium-plus acid and a high abv of 15 % that is mostly well-integrated at this point. A powerful wine with much extract, notes of banana, papaya, pineapple, starfruit, spices and wood on the palate. Long-lasting finish. Way too young, of course, and still dominated by its primary fruit, but quite promising. The wine lacks a little drive and inner tension right now, but there’s enough going on to be excited about in the future. 92+
