Sunday, March 26, 2017 - Phenomenally smooth - lacier than velvety, and very integrated, but likely on the tail end of its life. The acidity was a bit lacking, but the tannins have softened tremendously. The alcohol registers on the palate and nose well below what the bottle states - a 2003 Leonetti (at .4% lower alcohol) came off much hotter. The highlight was the elegance, and not the power or complexity (this sings with one voice in one chord, but not a chorus or orchestra), but this is one elegant wine.
