Wednesday, March 29, 2017 - An excellent Cabernet Sauvignon made with appropriate restraint so as to reveal rich layers of dark red cherry fruit, a touch of licorice and herbs. It is rare to describe a Napa Cab as having a touch of elegance, but this vintage has that, and I think it will get better even with age. This reaffirms Conn Valley is one of my favorite producers.

If you like Cabs that are extracted, oaky, jammy fruit bombs, look elsewhere (there are plenty of options).
