Saturday, April 1, 2017 - Opened this wine about 2 hours before serving and let it sit in my wine cabinet. This is a beautiful wine offering black fruit, licorice, spices, a hint of violets, and a nice touch of stones. Medium acidity and the stone flavor nicely balance the big fruit and provided the minor advantage I felt this wine had over the 2009 Paul Hobbs Las Piedras it shared the stage with. Both were fantastic wines and will provide amazing enjoyment for years to come.
