Saturday, April 15, 2017 - Drank over two days. Very deep color, just starting to turn on the rim. Mixed red and dark fruits dominate the aromas. Some creamy notes, maybe some tobacco spice. Some toast. But mostly just young ripe fruit, without being jammy. Smooth, elegant palate. Soft attack, plenty of fruit. Tannin comes through late, but doesn't overpower the palate. Spicy, with a touch of warmth. Very long. This is drinking wonderfully right now, but has the stamina to go another couple of years I would think.
