Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 12-year old Médoc nearing its peak. I went for a ride on the Left Bank (naturally) looking for some good dark juice filled with those tantalizing aromas of a barn floor couple with some after effects of a plug of chaw spit carelessly about and looking like the fresh blood of a stuck farm critter. I got a bit of that but I do believe the thin soil that these grapes were grown was a mite too thick, which made the Margaux less than desired.
