Thursday, April 27, 2017 - Miscellaneous Wines from a France Trip-Burgundy, Alsace, and Paris; 4/20/2017-4/29/2017: Relatively light color. Fresh, laid back aromas of peach, herbs, and tea that continued to expand, and finally some petrol. Gorgeous texture with more breadth and glycerine than the '76 last night. Perhaps a touch of residual sugar? Clay and stone throughout, and the acidity arrives late. This is compelling and simply magnificent-an alltime classic that is only in its adolescence. I hadn't had it for 4 years and was thrilled to find this bottle.
