Thursday, May 4, 2017 - Considerably past it's peak, but basically still hanging in there, this what aged Chardonnay can do. Very golden color. Caramel, toffee, ginger and spicy citrus on the nose. Close to full bodied. Mature pineapple, pear and mango. Still enough acid to hold things together. With some air and swirling some more traditional Chardonnay flavors emerge. The very clean and rounded finish has honeyed baked apple with mild citrus.
