Saturday, May 6, 2017 - On pnp gave off blackberries smoke and some forest floor. Like others have pointed out this is not your typical ripe lush HSS. 06's are average at best in my opinion. Still juicy in the mouth with a bit of energy left and well integrated tannins. This was a good wine but not HSS worthy. Don't let this be your only Hillside Select bottle. Had this next to 09 Solari and this held up but was not as good.
