Friday, June 23, 2017 - The last of our stash, and undeniably the best. Tonight's bottle had a classic Gamay profile, including the high acidity levels expected of this grape. It reminded me of nothing so much as a Chermette Cuvee Traditionelle Beaujolais, which in my book is high praise indeed. There is a lightness on the palate and a brightness to the decidedly red fruit that characterizes our favorite non-Cru Beaujolais (though it veers more to the Chermette side than the JP Brun side).
