Friday, July 21, 2017 - A Charmed Life: night of aged Cristal, Grange, and D'Yquem (Marea): Wonderful aged champagne. Hint of oxidation in the way that I like it. Still good bubbles and acidity there. I got lots of caramel but could also taste the apricot. This wine at times felt more like a sherry than a champagne. It was a really lovely pairing with the astice (lobster & burrata) dish at Marea.
