Tuesday, August 1, 2017 - PnP, then drunk over two evenings. From memory.
Golden color, clear.
Reduction still present and the first signs of evolution in a nose which is otherwise still tight and young. It was at its best at the end of the second day.
Nice balance on the palate between the roundness of the vintage (and the vineyard) and well judged tension. Still, my impression was that this would need more time to better integrate the two components. No signs of premox.

10/1/2017 10:41:00 AM - Shouldn't a wine-even a 1er cru-from this vintage be ready after 8 years? This is what I'm experiencing with WBs. I think the producers don't know exactly what to do anymore. PreMox is one issue but so is a lack of "hang-time", maybe due to warmer weather but also their desire to produce wines that are more appealing in their youth. Yet they aren't! Too much extraction?

Thanks for your comment-i am enjoying your notes.
