2004 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée

Thursday, September 7, 2017 - I have had this wine many times since it was first released. The wine has declined a lot. It has the leroy perfume but the fruit is drying up with a bitter aftertaste. Over the peak. For people who are chasing this wine at >800usd now in auction, it is absurd and unwise.

9/7/2017 6:41:00 PM - Really? I've been holding onto a bottle of this and was probably going to try it soon. Was it much better before, or do you think it was always overrated? It may be my only chance to try a Leroy Vosne Romanee with Grand Cru juice in it, so it'll be hard for me to let go.

9/7/2017 7:04:00 PM - I have had like 5 bottles of this wine since it was first released. The first bottle was the best. This wine has dropped significantly. I can confidently say its over the peak. We blinded the wine. 4 people called it a 04 bourgogne including me. If you want to try a 04 leroy now, Gevrey is the best in relative term.

11/12/2017 7:31:00 PM - Had many as well, bought a case at 200$/btl when it was released.
Had some good and some that really declined.

Not worth more than release price anyway.
