Thursday, September 7, 2017 - Context: the 2000 Quinault L'Enclos is one of my favorite ever wines. So this had a lot to measure up to. The 2005 shares some of the same features: dark berries, coffee, spice, and a beautifully medium weight. But where the 2000 dissipates ethereally, the 2005 finishes too soon with drying tannins.
