Saturday, September 16, 2017 - During a merchant tasting. Boom, here we have it, the first nose of this tasting where I see what we all are looking for when drinking quality wine. Complexity and refinement. Subtle red fruit, some smoke, spices. Pleasant palate, tannins still a touch young but good balance overall. At 50 EUR this is the kind of wine that I would recommend when you want to experience what a good quality, typical Burgundy can do for you, but your budget is constraint. Also very good and in a similar price level is the Gevrey Chambertin Les Cazetiers from this producer.
