Saturday, September 23, 2017 - Sourced from Brown Derby and consumed for dessert with cannoli, baklava and blue cheese, this wine was delicious. Very sweet, of course, but vibrant acidity keeps it sharp. And very long. All the usual gewurz suspects are in place -- lychee and mango, in particular -- but on steroids. Maybe this provides a perspective: Earlier with our filet mignon a friend and I indulged in a 2004 Sassicaia and a 1997 Harlan, which were both great in their own ways, and the dessert wine was easily my WOTN. A steal for the price. My main criticism is that apparently it is only made in a 375 ml format!
