Wednesday, September 27, 2017 - Well, the ups and down with Bevan continue for me. This was just too much like grape juice. Lots of fruit, but not in the rich, well integrated sense of it. Cherries dominate the pallet, with somewhat of a harsh flavor profile. For me, Bevan's style just isn't meant for pinot. Extracting all that fruit just makes it very one dimensional and this grape doesn't seem well poised to handle it.

9/28/2017 10:00:00 AM - A bold and amazing suggestion! I always prefer swinging to extremes, and after having this Bevan extracted grape juice nothing would satisfy my pallet more than drinking some fruitless dirt water to balance it all out. Wow, gonna have to load up!
