Sunday, October 15, 2017 - Advanced color and a nose not unlike Single Malt Scotch. This is shot to hell and very disappointing.

10/15/2017 11:58:00 AM - god, really? So different from your May 2016 note, too.

Dale, I have one left, maybe I should get after it in the next few weeks?

FWIW, the 2008 is drinking really delicious. I sourced some more this past summer.

I think Col. Kurtz said it best: "The Horror - The unimaginable Horror!"

I was with Jared and we both agreed this wasn't some Chenin is it pre-moxed or doing tricks thing. The color was way too gold, there was no sweetness whatsoever, which would have been ok if it was Muscadet and the nose didn't smell like Glenfiddich. I would hold and hope for the best but have a back up handy just incase.

Otherwise, I hope you are doing well!

    Dale

10/15/2017 7:19:00 PM - I typically like This wine, but from this vintage I’ve had three bottles, none of which were good. Two were clearly advanced, and downright bad. The third was just very mediocre.
