Saturday, November 11, 2017 - young, dark-fruited Corton with plenty of muscle, richness and length. Good acid cut. Tannins still prominent, needs another 5+ years ( it is a Corton, after all!!)
this was a strange result indeed. Richard Hemming over on Jancis' web site called this wine faulty, which this bottle clearly was not. What makes it strange is that his call was from a barrel sample, and as far as I am aware, the Domaine only made one barrel of this!!!
To be fair to the producer, Jancis needs to re-taste this wine and insert a correct note.
92+ points, drink after 2025.
