90 Points

Thursday, November 9, 2017 - Retailer tasting. The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered floral notes and ripe but fresh fruit aromas on the nose. On the full but polished palate, the wine showed ripe red and dark fruit, spices and vanilla, with ripe, medium-plus tannin, solid acidity and good to very good length of the mineral finish. This cuvée “Hugo” had much better concentration and complexity that the “Les Dentelles”. The volatile acidity was too high for my liking, but other than that I liked this wine. A very good wine that should age well. It seemed a little overpriced to me.
