Friday, June 16, 2006 - Quite a dull crimson, with brickish tinges. An inviting sweet vanilla and cherry attack with a hint of barnyard too. Vanillary oak comes to the fore over time. Sweet entry and then very ripe, sweet red fruits, cherries and plums on the mid-palalte. Tannins not perfectly integrated - a little coarse and there's a hint of alcohol at the back of the throat, but then this wine weighs in at 14%. Cherries and plums sum this wine up. Dry on the finish. Very tasty.
