Wednesday, April 9, 2008 - Rhys and Alesia Spring '08 release dinner (Tabla): Stony scent. Slightly darker, zingier, and more stone-inflected palate than the Alesias. For the first time, though, the Rhys distinguishes itself almost entirely with the uniqueness of the Santa Cruz Mountains terroir -- the quality standard across both labels in this vintage is on par.
