Thursday, December 3, 2015 - 3.5 Maroon trending purple in color. What a nose! Tart raspberry pie, strawberry, licorice, and pepper open exuberantly. A mid-weight wine with blue fruit on the mid-palate and cranberry tartness on the finish. While the nose captivates, the taste falls short of harmony and lacks nuance. Above typical acidity makes this a solid food wine. Pork, beef, and roasted root vegetables beckon. Delightful.
