Monday, January 15, 2018 - This was a lesson in not spending too much time in memory lane. I love the command wines and have had a number of the 2001 /2002, maybe 10 years ago. I remembered that and went searching and tracked down a couple of 2004s. The experience was the same. Lots of leather, deep dark blue fruit, and a good amount of earth. But this guy is definitely getting near the end of his road. Just a little flabby, and fruit not quite as bright. So great wine, but drink up.

1/15/2018 11:09:00 PM - Awesome. I am hearing so many great things about this vintage. I was going to wait until about 2022 or later to open mine but i'm thinking since it seems amazing now i might open mine later this year when family from the U'K visits.
