Sunday, February 11, 2018 - Wine is wonderfully mature with near perfect balance and complete integration of flavors, acid and tannin. Tannin is so well connected to the fruit during the mid-palate and the finish. Fruit is full, although not as exuberant as a younger wine. We had this with 2003 Margaux, which showed the exuberance, but not the sophisticated, smooth maturity that the 1996 Lynch-Bages had. Definitely the real deal; full package, and in its prime.
