91 Points

Saturday, April 7, 2018 - First of six. Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Fresh nose of alpine flowers, red raspberry, tea leaves, earth, and stone. Young and slightly austere on the palate but definitely accessible, yielding fine, pure layers of red raspberry, mulberry, black cherry, iodine, and iron particles. Nicely acidic with firm but integrated tannin. Longer finish of lithe red fruit and iron with grip at the end. Enjoyable now and all set to evolve very well over the long term.
