Sunday, May 11, 2008 - A little tight at first opening but after 20 minutes in the decanter this was ready to go.

Notes of pineapple on the nose. On the palate there is the perfect dollup of oak detectable. Not too much -- not too little. Just enough to add an interesting character. Zesty acidity finishes it all off. A complete California chard. This is great stuff.

This obviously is still young, but a comment I heard was -- "Why bother aging this stuff -- it is terrific now"
