Sunday, June 10, 2018 - Better than expected in my experience with most Australian wines!
On nose: pipe tobacco , pomegranate, coffee, and bramble berries.
On palate: all of the above plus ripe plums, mocha and damp earth with a citrus element almost reminiscent of Amarone, minus the high acidity.
This wine is now 11 years old and fully mature.
Great wine with BBQ......full bodied but not overbearing.
