Friday, August 24, 2018 - We’re value shoppers, so keep that in mind. QPR rules in our world.
For us, this wine is interesting but not worth the spend. It presents a delicacy that intrigues, and the nose is delicious. But when one frames points of reference by which to compare, this wine lacks a certain depth and finesse. Tannins are a bit rough. There’s no no unctiousness in the follow through.
Hard to place a real value on this. Almost typed, “would be enjoyable at $24”, but we can find multiple wines better than this in that price range, at least in our estimation. We’d enjoy it without reserve if served by a friend, but wouldn’t buy it again ourselves.
