Thursday, April 12, 2018 - Intense nose of ripe plums, malt, tabaco, leather and horse barn. Indeed showing the ripeness of this good/warm vintage for Pauillac vines. Meaty and foresty in the mouth with dense and balanced structure although full-bodied. Aromas of wild berries, malt, chocolate as well as hints of cassis and smoke on the long & smooth finish. Interesting and sophisticated wine, hyped and probably often drunk too early.
