Tuesday, September 18, 2018 - I was afraid the wine would be over the hill but man was I wrong. Lots of dried dark fruit flavors, hints of teritary notes, and heady acidity. The tannins have mostly melted away. I can't imagine how undrinkable this must have been on release. The finish was a bit shorter than I would've liked but the wine was very hedonistic and is in a great drinking window. The wine still have 5+ years no problem as far as holding potential goes but no reason to hold at this point.
